China Eastern Airlines is based in Changning District Shanghai and is a major Chinese airline operating to international, regional and domestic destinations. It was founded in 1988 and became a member of the Sky Team on 21st June 2011.
Alliance
SkyTeam founded in June 2000 has 19 members who collectively carry over 630 million passengers each year reaching over 1150 destinations. SkyTeam alliance and its members have 750 lounges worldwide. Passengers can access privileges based on the status of the member airline's frequent flyer program. SkyTeam has two frequent flyer program tiers which are Elite and Elite Plus are linked with the status of the airline membership programs.

Travel Class
China Eastern Airlines provides for 3 travel classes:
Economy Class: Passengers are allowed to take one hand baggage and one check-in bag for domestic flights and two check-in bags for international flights. This is the best budget fare option which provides for comfortable seating with adjustable footrests and headrests along with a laptop power points and individual TV screens. The guests can choose from Chinese and Western meal options on-board.
There is an additional fare option called the Basic Economy Fare and it is limited to international flights within Asia. The basic fare is less than the standard economy class fare but does not have a refund policy, upgrade policy or baggage allowance. The passengers can check-in at the airport and select their seats on the go.
Business Class: Passengers are allowed to take one hand baggage and one check-in bag for domestic flights and two check-in bags for international flights. The guests can relax with comfortable angles lie-flat seats which have built-in massage features. Laptop power points and individual, interactive entertainment systems, English and Chinese newsletters are also available for passengers to relax and enjoy their leisure time.
First Class: Passengers are allowed to take one hand baggage and one check-in bag for domestic flights and three check-in bags for international flights. The guests get access to convertible seats and exclusive cabin with a TV screen, duvet and a pillow. The guests can enjoy a scrumptious meal and relax with the amenity kit, slippers and pyjamas provided on board. Frequent Flyer Program
Eatern Miles is the frequent flyer program for China Eastern Airlines. Members can earn mileage points by flying with the airline. These points can be redeemed for award tickets, award upgrade, value-added services. The mileage points can also be earned with the nation- airline partners in Hotels, Banks, Telecommunications, Car Rentals, Travel agencies etc. The points can also be used to gift flight tickets to loved ones. There are two levels of membership- Silver and Gold. Silver is attained by earning 40000 points within a year and Gold is attained by earning 80000 points within a year.
Baggage allowance
Passengers are allowed to carry hand baggage which can weigh up to 10 kgs and the check-in bag can weigh up to 20 kgs for Super Economy and Economy Class, 30 kgs for Business Class and 40 kgs for First Class on domestic flights. For international flights, passengers can carry hand baggage which can weigh up to 10 kgs and check-in luggage which can weigh up to 23 kgs for Economy Class,32 kgs each for Business and First Class. Check-in
Domestic Flights - Passengers can check-in online 24 hrs to 1.5 hrs prior to the scheduled departure time.
International Flights - Passengers can check-in online 24 hrs to 1.5 hrs prior to the scheduled departure time.
In-Flight Services
China Eastern Airlines provides for exquisite delicacies, snacks, meals along with alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Passengers can pre-book their meals or purchase it on board the flight. The airlines provide for a wide range of entertainment and leisure activities through the numerous movies, shows, music and games available onboard.
Onboard support
China Eastern Airlines provides assistance for guests with special needs, Infants, expectant mothers, unaccompanied minors and any pre-departure arrangements. Passengers in need of mobility support will be provided with a wheelchair and/or Ambulift services during the flight.
Refund and Cancellation
Passengers can cancel their booking either through China Eastern Airlines’s sales ’ offices or website. All cancellations are subject to a cancellation fee.
